Dale Jr wins the pole at Daytona

This is the last time Dale Jr will win the pole at the Daytona summer race as a full time cup driver. Let that sink in for a minute. No really, after tomorrow night, we may never see Dale Jr race at Daytona ever again. Now yes maybe he’ll race in the Clash at Daytona next year, or even in a 500 or Coke 400 down the road, but it will never be the same. Dale Jr has raced in the cup series for 19 years, he’s collected 26 cup wins in that time period and that’s not anything to scoff at. He will leave a gap in this sport. A gap that Chase Elliot must fill.
